I'm only four episodes in, and it seems to me that the writers are trying to hard to make Jane Seymour's character quirky and young and hip and cool, but it misses the mark. Why call her Harry in the first place? Why so much profanity and vulgarisms? It detracts from the story. Also, was Jane always this bad an actress? The excessive drinking is unnecessary, also, unless they're building toward a dramatic story arc.
The lad is actually better in his part than I expected. I look forward to watching his character develop.
The scenery isn't much to write home about.
I don't understand the comparisons to Murder, She Wrote. So far, Harry Wild can't hold a candle to that classic series.
I hope this show improves. I shall continue to watch.
