I felt the beginning of Ballerina was promising, setting up the premise to it.
I found that Eve's training went too long, in regards to the movie.
I thought the brutality of those scenes extended beyond what they needed to be, to explain how resilient & tough she became.
When she met Daniel Pine & Ella in The Continental she could see herself & her Father in them & made the decision she did, it showed her humanity had not been beaten out of her.
I thoroughly enjoyed the scenes in the Continental's armoury & how in the beginning the caretaker of the armoury was neutral until his armoury was virtually unusable. Then he changed his mind.
The destruction of vehicles was exciting & fun to watch.
When Eve gets to the Mountain Enclave & meets a couple of close relatives then virtually has to fight the entire Village to survive, seemed to never end.
I didn't like Anjelica's 'The Director' character because whenever I see Anjelica all I think of is the Movie 'The Witches'. Yes she makes great hard nosed malevolent characters but I really dislike her & Gabriel Byrne. I suppose that just means they play their parts very well.
The ending was fitting and not surprising given the subject.
The two little girls playing the parts of Young Eve and Ella in the present day, were fabulous & so very cute.
I will watch this again & pay better attention to the fight scenes & the multitude of weapons used!

So much so I watched it again the next night because I knew I had missed a lot of good stuff.
Clever, stunning, unexpected, great actors, terrific script writing, dynamic.
One of my favourite movies ever.
I always love Lucy Liu. She can be as cute as a button when not wielding a sword.
I watched Josh Hartnett in Trap. Now all I can see him as is evil which is hard when he is wearing a towel & sporting a broken nose.
The wonderful Bruce Willis is his cool, calm & collected self. With that menacing quietness he gets & that secret little smile he has.
It goes without saying that Morgan Freeman & Ben Kingsley are perfect in their roles. Ben Kingsley's accent cracked me up.
I did laugh in this Movie & cried a little also.
This is the Genre I love to watch the most.
I recommend this Movie for anyone who loves Action, Intrigue, Vengeance, a little Romance & a lot of twists.
The added appeal is some of the best actors to grace our screens in the last 40-50 years!

Maybe the only movie I have ever liked/loved one of Garret Dillahunt's characters.
Orlando Bloom, his brother Harlan in the film & his Niece, Savannah all played their parts well.
I wanted to strangle Harlan at times as he was very believable.
The violence was believable & the Old Testament of 'An Eye for an Eye' was utilized very well.
Andie MacDowell was great as Big Cat. Ruthless & top dog... cat, of her crew.
I watched the last 10-15 minutes twice as I thought I may have missed something.
I will watch this Movie again as it had just the right amount of storyline, redemption, violence & heroism to satisfy my taste in this kind of Movie.
