Don't let the naysayers turn you away from seeing this at the theater. It really is an excellent farewell film to a beloved character. Helena, Indy's Goddaughter, does not take precedent in this film. Indiana does not take a backseat to her. The people that are leaving these types of reviews have probably not seen the film. I'd say it's a good balance, and she is a pivotal character to the plot, but this is all about Indiana Jones. As a huge fan of the original, and a fan of Harrison Ford, I truly loved this movie and enjoyed it thoroughly. I had a smile on my face nearly the entire time. There are a few places where the CGI is disappointing, but overall, this is a well made addition and final film to the franchise. There are also a number of nods to the first three films that are placed and executed excellently by James Mangold. And the final scene in the movie is worth a ticket price all by itself. Go see it and enjoy an Indiana Jones adventure, one more time!
What a pile of ever loving trash. How in the world did this receive 84% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes!!! I remember watching this as a kid in the 80s and the alligator in the sewer premise was attractive to me then but I didn't remember much else about it so thought I'd give it another viewing. It's also listed as one of the top films about killer alligators. Unbelievable. Unless you like poor creature effects and ridiculous dialogue, inane alligator attack scenes, and plot and mostly just plan bad acting then I suggest not wasting your time with this one. Cheesy as can be. Watch " Rogue" instead.
Brad Pitt usually delivers but this was a complete mess and poorly delivered and timed humor. Acting all around just wasn't that great and everything felt forced.
