I got so emotionally involved in this movie that I had to pause it just to catch my breath. What I loved most was how easily you identify with the lead character. You feel every heartbeat, and you can't help but admire his strength and composure. He truly embodies the American hero: one man against the odds, determined to win. He's defending lives, and his integrity is something you admire unconditionally.
This is an absolutely stunning film, filled with powerful moral undertones. The intensity is heightened by a fantastic soundtrack from the incredibly talented Brooke and Will Blair. Their score is on par with the work of Jóhann Jóhannsson for Villeneuve's *Sicario* - just phenomenal.
Hats off to Jeremy Saulnier, who not only wrote, directed, and produced this film but also edited it himself. He did it all. Bravo, Jeremy! I imagine you're making all Acadians proud.

I'm not the biggest fan of artistic effects like camera fading in and out, but here, the playful use of focus between sequences works wonders, especially when paired with the classical music score. The vibe of this movie is truly unique.
The unpredictable story, coupled with the tension-filled casting, keeps you watching without realizing the movie is 89 minutes long-it feels like just 10 minutes have passed. That's always a fantastic indicator of how captivating the film truly is. A must-watch for those who appreciate a blend of artistry and storytelling.
This movie appeals to both men and women. It carries a subtle erotic charge that makes it particularly enjoyable for couples to watch together.

Growing up in Europe, I had the Decameron on my reading list in high school, but I remember being quite bored by the sexual stories and not retaining much from the book. Watching this movie reignited my interest, and I plan to read the book again with a more mature perspective. The COVID pandemic has also changed my view on the story, as we now understand what it means to be confined and seek refuge away from the city, much like the characters in this captivating series.
I particularly enjoyed the beginning of the series, though I found the ending to be somewhat diluted in its storytelling. When the scriptwriters stayed true to the original Decameron, the content was spicy and engaging.
The locations, costumes, and cast were all outstanding. The actors' performances were perfect, making this a memorable series that kept me entertained and up late into the night. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good series to watch.
