Annatthe My view and not a review.
There are few people who don't like certain things in a particular place / shop. However, that might be a best selling product of them and they might be very well known for it. For example Kakada Ramprasad, they are famous for their badam milk and there are few who don't like them as they are extremely sweet. However, that's their brand image.
Likewise Annatthe. Exactly his Brand, His Formula.. I wonder what else people expect from Director Siva. He has made it exclusively for Rajinikanth.
Rajini, Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Soori, Abhimanyu singh, Jagapathy Babu, all have performed really well in their roles.
Songs are decent, but could have been better. DImman's BGM is noisy but it suits the situation. A star studded cast and as usual siva hasn't used them quite well.
I believe considering Rajini's age the director has avoided romantic scenes in the movies. The film has everything to become a pakka commercial entertainer.
Trust me this man is 70 years old and I am sure none of today's heroes would be even able to walk properly when they come to his age, and this man is doing everything that a young hero can do. Such is his charisma

The combination of Vijay and director Murugadoss is considered one of the best combinations in south Indian movie industry as they delivered two blockbusters 'Thupaki' and 'Katthi'.
Vijay appears in the role of an NRI turned political leader. He has played the role with his antics and mannerisms. He played the typical mass hero role. It is Vijay's personality and charisma that holds together the movie the Only plus.
Keerthy Suresh gets silly characterization. Radha Ravi as a politician is terrific. Varalakshmi Sharath Kumar as CM's daughter and main villain and she is been doing such roles with ease in recent time.
Generally, Murugadoss reserves his best for the final portions. However, here the film turns dull with Vijay's fight with the politicians is told in routine and regular manner which we have seen in umpteen other movies. His battle with CM and his daughter Varalakshmi doesn't provide any novelty either and it lacks the punch which people expected from ARM.
Pros : First half Action stunts Vijay's charisma
Cons : Unconvincing scenes and ideas Dull second half Weak villain characterization
Personal Verdict : A pakka Vijay Movie and a treat for his fans. Neutral audience "One time watchable". Critics : Disappointed.
