  • Nope, this is not for me

Forget for a minute that I am still unable to make it through the worst prank ever played on Rick & Morty fans, the disturbing "Bushworld Adventure" episode. I find it EXTREMELY off putting to the point it gives me severe anxiety, so it should be no surprise that I do not enjoy this series. The animation of the characters switches from normal to terrifying when they get angry, and that is all one of the main characters ever seems to do. Rachel is a decent character, but i certainly hope most young women in Australia are better than Sara. She is a foul, selfish, obscene human and I don't find it funny or amusing. The only thing I like is the secondary characters when they are (for some unknown reason) cute looking shapes or some other unexpected form. I am hoping the series ended at the end of Season 1, as it was a decent and just ending for the 2 women. Just too rude and intentionally off putting for my taste.

  • I wasn't sure how they could make this train-wreck seem funny...

But they really managed to hit it out of the park. They almost make Trump & Co. likable. The Don Jr, & Eric character are absolutely hysterical, and the likenesses of the clown car that is the Trump administration are spot on. If only reality was as silly and lighthearted as the animated version, but it would be impossible to make treason, money laundering and obstruction of justice funny.

  • I really wanted to LOVE this movie!!!

I have been a huge Michael Keaton fan since first seeing him on the sitcom "Working Stiffs" with Jim Belushi back in the 80's, and have closely followed his career ever since. I had seen the trailer for this movie when I had seen "Whiplash" (9/10) and thought the premise was interesting as it seemed to parody/parallel his career and his iconic portrayal of "Batman". *Sigh* I was thoroughly disappointed.

The 3 stars I have given are for the individual performances themselves. Each character was well portrayed and interesting--especially Ed Norton, however the screenplay was SO lacking that NONE of the characters developed any depth beyond a rough sketch, which was very disappointing because I really wanted to know more about them!

The whole story is so disjointed, it really seems like the whole movie was put together around the whole "let the audience decide what is real and what is fantasy" premise, which in this case seems completely contrived and a total cop- out.

I was just left feeling as if this movie set out from the start to be this "award winning movie that makes you think", but it was done in such a heavy handed obvious way, that I almost felt insulted. I was really surprised that so many intelligent people fell for the ploy. IMO, the ending was ridiculous and the best example of my point.

    In summation: Actors=Yey Story=Nay
