Rajkumar Rao may have accepted this movie just to break away from his boy next door image but it has backfired. He has been spot on with his earnest performance but everything else let the project down. Secondly, Rao does not have that Sunny Deol like persona for such roles, therefore, makers could have tried to present his character in a quite, calm & chilling way than a loud & shouting anti hero. Huma Qureshi is certainly not an item song material and makers could have opted for Dino Moreo rather than Manushi Chhillar. All Disappointment, except Rao.

First thing first, after ages Bollywood comes with a wonderful movie. This is a fantastic job done, in every possible sense of Hindi film making. Amir Khan proves again why he is the best of his peers. The 10 leading intellectually challenged actors are first rate. Sometimes I thought Ashish P, Simran Mangeshkar, Aroush Datta and Ayush Bhansali were better than Amir Khan. I have no words for seasoned duo of Dolly Ahluwalia and Brijendra Kala, they are always a treat to watch onscreen. All the other actors, with a couple of scenes each, are brilliant. Genelia is just a prop. She was good while performing bubbly scenes but disappointing when needed for everything else. Rather, makers could have gone with a storyline, without Sunita. In nutshell, she never was a good actress then and will never be ever. I would rate Ankita Saigal (as Advocate Surendra's Wife) in her lone scene, higher than Genelia.

I must talk about a few minus points too. First, this is a remake of Spanish movie Campeones (2018), which was later remade in Hollywood as Champions (2023), with Woody Harrelson in Lead. But it's alright if you remake a movie with utmost honesty duly crediting, and paying if required, original creators.

Secondly, I expect original work from Amir Khan, not remakes. Then, there are about half a dozen scenes where Amir Khan is seen caught off guard by his team member's response. Unfortunately, Amir delivers identically the same facial & vocal expressions every time he is seen surprised. I firmly believe Amir has the capability to delivered 12 different facial & vocal expressions on 12 different but identically same occasions. I found that strange. The actor must blame himself for my expectation.

This movie should be seen as a lesson for modern film making. Hope our Pathans, Jawans, Sultans would watch this & retrospect what kind of crap they have been dishing out since last almost two decades.

This movie is purely an attempt to promote and declare the producers' wife as a remarkable actress, who otherwise was failed to impress audience in her first attempt between 2003-05. Moreover, creators in Bollywood have a tendency to showcase actors larger than life rather than the character they are playing, and that is predominantly visible here. Ironically, Bollywood creators never say they are copying an existing work, frame by frame, but beat their chests in the name of an original work. This movie is a shameful copy of Russell Crowe starrer The Next Three Days (2010). They should have at least tried to do justice to the original work.
