The Japanese have a reputation for bizarre, over-the-top, outrageously silly concepts. (Tokyo Gore Police, Message from Space, dare I say it...Godzilla)
Then there is the Swedes with "Gayniggers From Outer Space" (1992), "Kung Fury" (2015), and "Guy Manley: Super Spy" aka "Guy Manley: A Real Movie".
This movie reminds me of "Boy Kills World" with Swedish born actor Bill Skarsgård, released the same year. In it his character uses a voice he heard in a video game, that sounds a whole bunch like Guy Manley.
Sure there is a lot of VFX, but I can enjoy a good cartoon, or animated feature now and again. Give your brain a rest, and watch this for what it is...an hour and a half of fantasy/action entertainment. Wile E. Coyote would approve.

The characters are all over the place. There was nothing much in the way of in the way of introducing them, but little clues here and there, and I still don't get how they all ended up in this movie. I didn't want to care about any of them.
Their motives are blurry at best until way past the halfway point, and even then they're weak.
Special effects were interesting red, or green carbonated blobs thrown in for some reason that I suppose were to add some atmosphere, but failed.
In the abandoned lumberyard scene: There had to have been something to cut through the chain, or tire in one of those trucks.
The ending did nothing to resolve any of the questions I had from the get go, aside from the aforementioned motivation. If I had any idea of who these people from the start, it might have been a stronger ending.
Will not be watching this again.

...it was entertaining for those who love action films. With fading star-power to help it along.
Lots of action, and very few plot holes.
A gaggle of spy networks all working to get "the goods" from an ex-agent whose married to an active agent. She's working for yet another agency. Pretty normal when it comes to these types of flicks,
The JJ Abrams lens flare technique show up in several scenes, but thankfully not overused.
It was the ending that ruined it for me. It came up fast, and unexpectedly. Willa Fitzgerald's character delivers the only line that gives you a sense of a happy ending, but it's two words, and doesn't have much meat on the bones.
When movies end that way, I get a strong sense that there will be a sequel.
It was a fun ride, for the most part, but with such a dismal ending I won't be giving this one a second viewing, or a higher rating.
