Amazon is currently showing all the seasons. I watched the first and second seasons and then picked through episodes up until color. Each episode is a short story which can be quite interesting. The acting is generally pretty bad and stereotypical. There are always moral lessons and character behaviors quite typical of 50's manly pride. Pretty dated feel to it all. However.........I did get hooked on this a bit just because it is television history and the history covers lots of territory. Really gives a realistic feel for the old west that i don't get out of modern movies.
Watch it. It will be one you don't forget. Yeah, it is quite a mix of OldSouth, Gangster, Vampire, MusicalOdyssey. Great Cinematography, Acting, Sets, Music.
Downers are some of the cliche dialogs and corny lines so just ignore those. The first ending shootout sucked. Stick around for the final ending bar scene you might miss after credits start to roll.
Movie starts looking like a narrative on old south living conditions for blacks. Shortly it moves into Gangster narrative and then hints of the Vampire story line.
Favorite part is the Juke joint dance scene where we throw in cultural dance from across the ages and locations. Pretty funky stuff but fun to watch.

Quite enjoyable movie. Front to back it kept me entertained. There was an actual story with a great punch line at the end. No idea if #2 is going to be made but they created the setup for it.
I am not generally a Marvel fan. Most of these movies I fall asleep during the extended CGI action scenes. Not here. Sure, you tell it is CGI and not even the best CGI but heck, very inventive and entertaining.
I really liked the different villains. Russel Crowe is great as daddy and the family conflict makes the story interesting.
I don't understand the haters on this one. I guess if you are looking for perfect CGI and don't care about the actual story then ok. I have to agree a couple lines from Ariana were laughably badly performed.
