My son gets a kick out of chico. The show has good helpful characters helping solve silly problems around town. It leans into childish humor and issues while also introducing critical problem solving skills and the thought process behind them. Its also good about showing the characters trying something, failing, and trying again! The first episode with the underwear parade is a little odd but its meant to again play into that childish humor. Kids love walking around in their underwear and yes of course you should teach them when is appropriate to be in their underwear and when isn't. Or just skip the first episode and enjoy every other hilarious and fun episode with your kids!
This show is pretty adorable and has lots of fun moments for the kids. Watching the kids present their final builds at the end is great but the obstacle course where they have to find lids is cute but seems kind of pointless since the way it's set up now it just gives the team who already has an advantage even more of one. Maybe if the kids had to run the lids back to the parents who had to match them to containers it would add a bit more edge or guessing as to who is going to get the second advantage. As a family show it has great promise, it just feels like it's missing something. The talented sculptor Jason is under-utilized and the flow is a little clunky but overall it's really very sweet and tries its best to be fun!
