  • Billa - GOD in their agenda!

If you've played GTA or MAFIA kinda games, you'll be irritated to watch this movie! To be frank, David Billa moves around with all freedom after the number of murders he commits(even it can be excused!) But, he executes everyone just like that! To be precise he plays 'GOD'. The movie started well after the credits. It traveled well until Billa joins ANNACHI. After that it gets predictable and monotonous. Sometimes certain scenes won't even stand to our predictions, don't get too excited, The fact is that it's worse than that! So when you start to predict, If you wanna be right with your prediction then expect the next scene to be very normal and the twists implied to be the twists during stone age cinema. The camera was good. All the scenes are the same and that is - BILLA kills boss to be the boss! Only the character artists and locations are changed! They've tried the SIN CITY type in one song which I'd say was indeed new and nice! Ajith plays his part well...Camera was nice, so were the locations. Costumes at certain places were inappropriate, Otherwise it was savvy. Editing was simple and nice. Technically the movie was good. The pre production wasn't effective enough I guess. Bad screenplay alone lets the movie down. One thing is evident from movies like these- They're not allowing the audience to grow! When this kinda taste prevails among the audience, I'm afraid even Great movies like THE GODFATHER (Francis Ford Coppola) won't stand tall! .... SAD!

  • With love, Krishna

I luckily got two tickets yesterday for Deivathirumagal(Inspired by I'm Sam). The movie kick-starts with the VIKRAM FEVER. Seriously, this guy is like some kind of a virus and you just can't stop liking that virus whatsoever! hats off! The Ups are more comparatively in this movie. Even a few minor errors have been vanished by the strength of the positives! The movie has two halves and definitely the first half is better than the second half because there are lot of vikramless scenes in the second half! Okay now let me categorize

    UPS: -Vikram's acting

-Anushka's bold acting and Nasser's maturity at times help!

-GV's Music- Really a strength. It made many scenes particularly KRISHNA-NILA interactions lively!

    -Krishna-Nila interactions and situations

-Humor contents with M.S. Bhaskar and Vikram, Santhanam's comedy scenes at the beginning.

-Screenplay's strength when Vikram's on focus.

    -Camera in OOTY

DOWNS: -Vikramless scenes in second half were lengthy.

    -Krishna friends' acting

-Shweta's(amala paul) dad- God help his acting!

-Editing- Cuts could have been more crisp and movies like these need slow editing like passing, not cut and a start!

    -A few logic damages.

-Dialogues in the courtroom should have been powerful. -Unnecessary song VIZHIGALIL!

    -Camera in Chennai.

Had these minor perfection missing scenes were corrected the movie would've been equal to I'm Sam…Still a great film carried by VIKRAM!

  • Godspeed! too much!

Released during the time of IPL, this film has matched the speed of IPL! Now having said that, what's the necessity for such a speed in a screenplay that has to be quite steady and realistic? The writer has added a lot of commercial value to a COULD'VE MADE WELL SCRIPT.

The beginning of the movie itself makes us to sigh! Do bank robberies take place that easily? If yes, then at least it should have been directed well! And is there a difference between JIIVA's bike stunts and Vadivelu doing a stoppie with Tamannah in THILLALANGADI???And in India do the newspaper publishers work that way???(ASS,KRISH) all those stuff trying to imitate Hollywood was totally artificial. Wherever you go i'll follow is not vodafone's quote! it's actually is JIIVA's untold truth in this movie..wherever,whatever the problem maybe JIIVA-the photographer will be there to snap a few..comeon yaar give it a break! KV Anand is one of India's best cameraman, but in his film why the camera is handled so worse, I think KV should have stuck with the camera too. In the climax why doesn't Jiiva understand AJMAL? Let it be a shortcut, now that a qualified ministry is formed why would jiiva wanna risk it? Like this, lot of lags in Screenplay!

As for as acting is concerned Jiiva and Ajmal both have done their job well! Kota srinivasa rao and PrakashRaj have been wasted! Editing was very ordinary. When ANTONY shows up in a scene-god,help me!what an acting sirji?? Harris impresses in ENNAMO ETHO alone!

The movie would've been fine if the director had finished it with SIRAGUGAL's win and added few details and steadied the screenplay! The director's mistake is that he has attempted to make a 4hour film in two hours which is missing a lot! Still I'm giving it a 5 only because of the Idea of youngsters coming into politics! When compared to AAYUTHA EZHUTHU which is quite similar, KO sucks!!
