Well, without ever having heard about this 2016 movie titled "Definitely Divorcing", from writer and director Russ Parr, as I stumbled upon it by random chance here in 2025. And since it was a movie that I hadn't already seen, of course I opted to sit down to watch it and give the movie a fair chance.
The storyline in the movie was a drag. Writer Russ Parr didn't really put together a particularly entertaining or enjoyable script and storyline. In fact, I was starting to zone out not even 30 minutes into the 80 minute runtime.
You have to look long and far for the comedy in this alleged comedy movie. I wasn't brought to laughter a single time throughout the course of the 80 minutes that the movie ran for.
The acting performances in the movie were fair, and there were some familiar faces on the cast list, with the likes of Robin Givens, Columbus Short, Luenell, Kendra Holloway and Lisa Wu.
I am sure that there is an audience out there somewhere for a movie such as this. I just happen to not be in that particular target audience. And this is certainly not a movie that will ever find its way back on my screen a second time.
My rating of writer and director Russ Parr's 2016 movie "Definitely Divorcing" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.

Given my love of all things horror, of course I needed no persuasion to watch "The Twin". Sure, I had never even heard about the movie, but that didn't shy me away from giving the movie a fair chance.
Writers Paul Petersen and J. C. Doler put together a script that struggled with its pacing, and that ultimately made for a somewhat prolonged and very uneventful narrative. You have to sit for a long time in between anything even remotely interesting happening. I can't claim that I was particularly impressed with the storyline in the movie.
In all honestly, then I gave up halfway through, I just couldn't take any more of the mind-numbing pointlessness that served as a script here.
Now, "The Twin" is labeled as a horror movie, but it is in fact a psychological drama about a father's downward spiral after the loss of his son.
I was actually not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list, which was actually something that spoke in overall favor of the movie, as I do enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen. The acting performances in the movie were fair, but nothing noteworthy or outstanding.
This movie just simply isn't worth the effort. And having to sit through 103 minutes of this torture was just simply beyond my scope of comprehension.
My rating of director J. C. Doler's 2024 movie "The Twin" lands on a two out of ten stars.

In all honesty, I had zero expectations to this movie, as I watched it here in 2025. Sure, I had never heard about the movie, but I still opted to watch it, solely because it was a movie that I hadn't already seen. And seeing that the movie had Doug Bradley on the cast list certainly served to lure me in.
The storyline in the movie, as written by Joshua Pruett, was pretty straight forward, but hardly anything outstanding really.
The acting performances in the movie were fair, but you will not find yourself in for anything memorable here. The only familiar face on the cast list, for me at least, were actors Doug Bradley and Dylan Vox.
The effects in the movie were pretty bad. Sure, it wasn't among the worst of effects that I've seen in movies, but this was some archetypical stuff from The Asylum. However, the costumes and props in the movie were actually fair. But then there was the witch, who looked like a keyboard player from an amateurish black metal band from the 1990s.
The fight scenes in "Witch Hunter" were particularly horrible, as it was essentially just the performers thrusting their weapons beyond the limit of the camera shot, and that was it. Oh, wait, I forgot to mention they added terribly fake blood splatter. But you don't get to see them actually fight whatever opponent they face.
Would I recommend "Witch Hunter" to fans of the fantasy adventure genre? Well, hardly so, at least I wouldn't encourage you to go out of your way to get to watch it. But if you are a diehard fantasy adventure fan, then you might get a bigger kick out of this movie than I did.
My rating of director Marc Gottlieb's 2024 movie "Witch Hunter" lands on a very generous three out of ten stars.
