A post-apocalyptic tale, in which a lone man fights his way across America in order to protect a sacred book that holds the secrets to saving humankind. An excellent story, however not much of the movie stood out.
Acting: The characters had next to no emotion. Very few characters showed anger, fear, love, or hate. Eli (Denzel Washington), could be described as Clint Eastwood in a Wild West movie, he didn't talk much, but he didn't need to because his actions spoke louder than words.
Setting: "The Book of Eli" is set in the future, 30 years after an event which wiped out almost everything. The various camera angles clearly show how they live in a world that is almost nothing.
Plot: The plot was a very simple one, Eli just needs to take a sacred object in his possession to it's final resting place.
Worth Seeing? Yes. Although not the greatest piece of art made, it was still worth seeing. It does take a bit to sit through the whole movie, but if you pay attention to the message behind it, it's not a waste of your time. I'd give it a 6/10.

Daybreakers is about a plague that has transformed most every human into vampires. Faced with a dwindling blood supply, the fractured dominant race plots their survival; meanwhile, a researcher works with a covert band of vamps on a way to save humankind....but you already knew that. Like putting a plastic bag over some one's head, things quickly get violent and out of control.
Special effects: Moderate, not much was needed for the movie. The death of the vampires were a little more violent than usual, however the entertainment behind it balanced it out.
Plot: "Find a cure or we all die" has been used frequently before, and there wasn't much of a twist.
Setting: The setting was a dark futuristic setting, Imagine Las Vegas at night...with all white neon. Perfect setting for this movie. Worth seeing? Yes. Not worth sprinting to the theaters, however it is worth seeing. I'd give it a 7/10.
This movie is such a relief from the romantic necrophilia of the Twilight series. It's good to see scary vampires again.
