I've read nearly every book available on this, the pivotal battle of WW2. This comes up short. The battle is only covered in the second half hour. It really should have been called the Dusty Kleiss story. The mismatched footage, showing avenger torpedoe bombers (there were a few at Midway and they accomplished nothing) when it should have been devestator torpedoe bombers, or F6F hellcats when it should have been F4F wildcats, hurts the authenticity. Just a so-so retelling.
Did anyone even read the comic? This is just another weak as hell, badly written, plot hole filled 'story line.' Is this written with AI? Or are the interns too busy smoking weed? Someone has to be toking up.
Honestly, Maggie and Negan? How many times are either of them going to get in one stupid situation after another with an implausible escape? I haven't liked the character of Maggie since she left and came back. Herschel is just a punk who needs to get killed off. The first season at least, was shorter. Why the hell would anyone obsess over Manhattan island? And how, after what has to be fifteen years, are the ghouls still wandering around? Don't they rot eventually? The only positive thing I can say is this: Its better than the entirely lame The World Beyond.
