IN SHORT, and without spoilers, I think this might've worked as a VERY LOW budget and low-key "horror" flick, IF only they didn't drop the ball at the end.
I found it mildly interesting and even "promising" for the first half, so I was kind of expecting something "good" going forward, despite the obvious slow burn pace, but IMO things got totally messed up, and became confusing and underwhelming after that.
Not even talking about production value, acting and visuals, here, as it's clear this is low budget (and scenography is minimal but OK), but the main issue lies in how the story evolves into an unbelievable nothing, basically.

Just as per subject. This is NOT a "Rambo movie" but basically a "random" revenge movie, on a similar line as Payback, John Wick, OR, Colombiana, except they decided to go with Stallone and Rambo with it, to cash in on it easy, I guess?
So, again, 3/10 as as a "Rambo" movie, as it's got nothing to do with it, and just feels like a cash grab, despite the good production value and everything.
6/10 as the nth tear-jerking "revenge movie" in and by itself.
Additional note, not reflected in my scores above: the "frontier justice" or vigilante model of justice presented in these movies IS in fact appealing to lots of people, more and more (me included), actually, but IMO it should also get us to reflect on what it means (in general...) and how things/trends like these actually do affect ratings over time...

I left a score of 7/10 shortly after seeing it, years ago. Now I happened to see it again, and I was just curious, so I checked IMDB again, and... 5.9 right now. I mean, even though it may not be perfect, and even though "non drama" stuff usually gets lower scores by default (because apparently "dramatic" stuff gets a +1/2 "modifier" by default, just because it's "serious" and all...), less that 6 (or "sufficient") isn't enough for this, IMO.
I won't say it's on the SAME level as Alien, but, really, not even miles apart. And I mentioned Alien because it kind of gave me similar vibes throughout, despite the obvious, material, differences.
SO, good production value, good acting overall (and BTW, since I NEVER watched ANY Twilight movie, I only discovered much later this was THAT Kristen Stewart...), good pacing, interesting "story" (for a survival horror/sci-fi movie), good FX/CGI, unobtrusive and generally well-placed music/sfx, good camera work, etc. I mean, I don't really know why this is currently rated so low...
IMO, definitely worth a watch (or more than one), if you're a fan of the genre and liked Alien.
