My sister and her boyfriend were visiting, so I tried to find a movie that we might all enjoy. I looked at the ratings, and this movie had been on several lists of good movies to stream (though I thought it was interesting that I've never even heard of this movie). We all like Paul Rudd, so that's one of the reasons we chose it. His comedic skills are some of the best. But... First of all, the cinematography is horrible. Much of the film is dark, and even the times when it was shot during the day, it's very gritty.

I agree with the other reviewers who said it's bizarre. That's an understatement. None of the characters are likable. The writing is simplistic at best, and for the life of me, I can't think of what was going through the writer's head when he composed this. I was thinking even I could do better, but I still don't even know what that means because there's really very little plot and just a carnage of slapstick, stupidity, and unrealism. If you're looking for a funny movie, avoid this one at all costs (oh, how I wish I'd stood my ground and chosen Pirate Radio, a sure thing, over this.). It's not even a "buddy film." There just seems to be no purpose to the movie at all. I have to say that we were all very grateful when we realized the movie was finally ending. I can't imagine why Paul Rudd signed up for this film. It was a total waste of our time, and I wish we had chosen another movie (anything but this one).

I don't understand the poor ratings. Having grown up watching musicals with my mom, this is a great one, particularly if you're of an age to remember Fred Astaire and Petula Clark.

It's a touching film, a great musical, a fantasy film, and a lesson about racial division, something that might've been considered slightly controversial back then. But it's done with humor, and its result is an eye-opener for the landowner.

I know I'm biased because I'm a Fred Astaire lover, but I always end up in happy tears at the end. I recommend watching it with your family and having a discussion at the end. It's for all ages.

My husband and I absolutely loved the first two seasons. I'm now beginning to realize that a good part of that was because of Jennifer Coolidge. She is deeply missed this season.

I'm afraid the writing is weak because it's basically the same stories as in the first two seasons, just different characters. And it's hard to really like any of them other than the masseuse. Everyone else is so irritating. The casting is lacking. Jason Isaacs is supposed to be portraying a southern businessman, but his British accent keeps breaking through. Patrick Schwarzenegger definitely seems to have been cast for the name factor, but he's not a great actor, and his character is really unlikable. And Parker Posey's overdone southern accent is annoying.

And what's missing in this season is that while the resort is gorgeous, it seems much more claustrophobic and not open like the other two locations in the first two seasons. You see the resort, and then you see the ocean, but you don't see the resort and the ocean in the same shot as you did in the other seasons. And unfortunately, the weather was not very forgiving because it was cloudy so much of the time. Maybe that was a production choice, but if so, it makes the whole story seems so much more dreary.

Was so excited for the new season, but disappointed as the story is slow, and the cast and scenery are not what they were in the previous seasons. I'm hoping that there is going to be a season 4 (so I originally heard there was not going to be), and I hope they can choose a better location and cast.
