I had my doubts walking into this one, but it seemed like the right thing to do at the time seeing this one. From the get-go it had a different feel to it than the typical romantic comedy. I thought this movie was very...very funny. It seems like a good date movie because there is the romance, but then there is the funny stuff that anyone can find funny - or maybe just those with kids. There is a water birthing scene in here that had me tearing up because I was laughing so hard. J-Lo's doctor is hysterical, and the leader of the Single Mom's Group is awesome as well. Nice cameo by Anthony Andersen and his discussion about kids and some "poo" that was found at the playground. All and all...a just plain ol' good time.
I was pleasantly surprised with this funny flick. I was in the mood for a fun family film, and this delivered. If you don't expect an academy award winner, then you should find this movie very entertaining. Eddie Murphy really puts in a highly energized performance and so does Hayden Church. Watching these two duke it out in their financial meetings is pure comic gold. Best part has to be when Murphy goes through his stock pick notes that have been doodled on my his daughter - "this stock is gonna drop its pants because they have a poopy diaper...........". This movie makes me want to go find an imaginary person and become friends with them.
