I don't go to many sequels because they rarely meet the standards of the initial film. But Rob Reiner is an excellent writer and director and the band is the real thing.
This film was really well-done not just in the writing and acting and comedy, but in the musicality as well. Most of the jokes are good, and the band is still mobile, though not so nimble as the ending demonstrates!
Its great to see Paul McCartney and Elton John performing! Elton really took his role seriously!

The challenge in modern elevated horror is to make the odd, kooky, and crazy stories make sense within their own self-contained universes. Very few horror films achieve this goal.
"Weapons" does this and so does "Bring her Back" in an even wilder way. "Bring her Back" is a dark story, reminiscent of "A Dark Song", another black magic attempt at resurrection. There's a depressing element throughout that is similar to "Hereditary".
BRB is bleak from the start, and never gets brighter. The acting by the young people is excellent, the lighting and cinematography are sublime.
This film is not for those faint of heart. It is violent and gory and sad. Yet, it is impressive in it's presentation and representation of mad grief. It is not a continuation of "Talk to Me"; there's no comparison.

Do you know why this is such a good horror film?
Because despite it's odd universe of lost children and parents, seemingly living under a bubble as things unfold crazily, "Weapons" multi-layered story makes sense!
There's simply an evil witch doing bad to others. Theres no silly cosmic ambiguities or multiple possible endings, nor do we get hit over the head with social commentary.
Its a great horror story, told from different perspectives, that delivers perfection.
