Adapted from one of the series of novels by that tall guy who seems to have compromising material on people at the BBC. I attempted to read the first book, but found it trite and contrived and it baffled me that it was in any way popular. This 'film' is also trite and contrived, but it changes some things from the books. None of the actors, locations or happenstances seem realistic. Netflix will pay for anything they think might be popular and secrete it onto their platform.
Im not sure if i would describe this film as BOLD, but 3 of 4 other reviewers so far have...Its an amazing coincidence as is the similarity of the language used throughout all 4 of the reviews. I should also draw attention to the fact the film allows the other characters to 'shine' (x3). The animation is described as sleek (x2) and slick (x2)- nice change up in wording there! In the film industry, manipulating reviews misleads audiences, inflates expectations, and discredits genuine critics. It creates false hype, leading to disappointment and backlash when films don't deliver. This practice erodes trust in studios and review platforms, harming long-term credibility and viewer loyalty essential for sustained box office and streaming success (or so says Chatgpt).
