What a complete disappointment. After all the hype and the fake good reviews , this is just another poorly written and edited pile of crap.
A convoluted story with characters that appear to be as lost as the viewing audience leaves me wondering who. Gave this a good review.
I don't have the energy to explain all that is wrong with this and maybe other reviewers will but this is worthless. Don't waste your time or money - complete fertilizer.

A Quiet Place Day One
I have seen all three Quiet Place movies. This is the only one that I felt was emotionally moving and, for me, worth commenting on.
I watch lots of sci-fi and horror movies and the first two in this series fit right into that category. Jump scary, predictable storyline but no emotional impact.
I felt the premise (in all three movies), the sound-based predators was idiotic. Seriously, are people whispering while the entire area is booming with sounds? The creatures made more noise than the humans. A goofy, flawed and silly concept. Maybe if the aliens could "smell" humans and distinguish them from other life forms it might make more sense, whatever - but sound? No, a stupid idea with a million loopholes in the plot.
So, back to Day One. . .
A cancer patient, in hospice, all hope gone, is just trying to live out her final days. Suddenly, the world as she knows it is interrupted by an alien invasion. Sounds ridiculous but they pull it off in this movie. Why, because it is not about the aliens, it is about two people that connect in the midst of this horror.
The pizza obsession and the marionette scene were beautiful. It set up the strange and frightening reality that was about to come.
The two leads were really wonderful. Lupita Nyong'O was perfect and Joseph Quinn was a solid counterpart. They managed to come across as two terrified, yet brave and supportive people that developed a connection in a very short period of time.
The cat was brilliant.
Best of the three for sure.
