Jim Carrey's acting, voice, voice inflection and body language are sheer perfection in this movie. You cannot get any better than this. I am surprised that the viewers gave it a lowly 6. It is a classic after 25 years and should be seen in conjunction with the animated older versions. Carrey has the right balance of humor, insensitivity and redemption. Dr. Seuss was really just copying Dickens after all.

This great movie is always overshadowed by It's A Wonderful Life, but it is just as good and has many life messages as well. Cary Grant is at his best as a debonair angel. Some of Grant's madcap movies are too trite and goofy (monkeys and leopards) but this film is well-balanced with a fine script and proper pacing. Moments of seriousness, levity and love permeate throughout. This movie is better than the remake with Denzel Washington and Whitney Houston.

Don't leave me Tommy. You can come back in a few years with Mission: Impossible--Lazarus. Cruise's physicality and stunts are unmatched by anyone in Hollywood. Thankfully he just received the long overdue and well-deserved Oscar for his career---like Paul Newman. Great actor but lots of jealousy and politics in Hollywood that ignores certain people. The movie was a little too long and bloated in the first half. I was getting worried that it would be boring as the plot set the foundational story but they needed to shave 45 minutes off that. Then the wait was definitely worth it as the mid-way action begins and we are fixated. The sets and action are unbelievable. The viewers who didn't like the movie should go back and re-watch all the James Bond 007 movies and see how they now look boring and childish compared to the MI series. I watch the Bond movies for nostalgia on Turner Classic movies but the technology wasn't there and Sean Connery doing a few judo moves is nothing compared to Ethan Hunt. Luckily, Ethan Hunt leaves out all the immature sexual innuendo nonsense, the silly and constant seductions and just gets on with saving the world. The scenery and stunts are breathtaking and worth the watch. I do not like the John Wick series at all. Tom's weird hair do and puffy face was a little distracting.
