The first time i saw this movie was when pay TV just started. known back then as WHT for 18.00 a month..I was stoned off my face when i saw this with a close friend and let me say i was so into it. the cast was perfect and let me also say i was in love with Jo Jo played by Vincent Russo. what a hot man indeed..a very down to earth real life picture that most anyone can relate to..this movie should be aired today. so underrated.in 1978 i was 20 years old and knew what i was about and into..this movie could turn a total wise mouth bully into an understanding and caring person with a little help .I give this great movie a must see before you get old.
Of all the John Wayne movies i have ever seen this one with such a cast a sexy good looking men takes it all. first lets start with billy the kid Geoffrey Deuel. my God what a babe then comes Garrett dreamy blue eyed Glenn Corbett..also blond hair Richard Jaeckel ..plus a dash of Christopher George..men like these are not made anymore..i was a young kid in 1970 ...12 years old as a matter of fact..and this movie made me know what i was..talk about butterfly's in the stomach...well it went beyond that..there was about 4 more hotties in this movie that raised my you know what.sorry this review is so one subject but i have to speak the truth..it was movies like these that helped me grow up..and sad that many of these great actors are gone..like the great Jackie Gleason said..away we go !!
When I first saw this movie in 1969 I was 11 years old and was already realizing my own sexual preference. watching a young Ian McShane was very stimulating to my desires but the one that stole my heart was Luke Halpin who in this movie was 22 years old. I had more butterflies in my stomach watching him then i ever did in my life. The whole movie is very well done and its the kind of movie everybody in the family could watch with total ease and enjoyment..movies like this are not made anymore. The world was a different place back then.. and its sad we today have lost that way of simple living in America..
