Wow.... and not in a good way.
I had heard from several reviewers that I trust that this was pretty funny. Laugh out loud funny. I chuckled a few times at the movie but that's about it. The original naked gun had me laughing so much I was crying.
Liam Nielsen did a good job as Frank Drebbon, but that's about where these goodthings end.
They never should've remade the classic. I can see why this went straight to streaming just a few weeks after opening.
2/10 - that was rough.

Like others I had heard from several reviewers that I trust that this was the best horror film of the year. I guess they meant the best horror film so far this year because we're only in the eighth month, but anyway. As someone who watches a ton of horror it was a unique mystery/horror movie, but is it the best of the year? Absolutely not.
A great horror movie should grab you from the beginning and never let go. It should be relentless, this movie does not do that. It's a slow burn mystery type that turns into somewhat of a horror later in the movie.
I'm not saying it's bad by any means, but I would've waited for streaming instead of spending over $50 for two people with popcorn.
6/10.

This is a near perfect horror/thriller movie. I know I give it a perfect score, but honestly it deserves it. The first half hour sets up the rest of the movie and they do it flawlessly. You get to know the characters and get to care about the couple. Then when the sh__ hits the fan, it doesn't let up till the end of the movie. Which is exactly what a horror and/or thriller movie should do.
They just don't make movies like this anymore, and I don't understand why. Technology has gotten better, you would think that movies would get better, but sadly we all know this hasn't happened.
So if you've never seen this, and like horror/thriller movies, I HIGHLY recommend it.
10/10 - brutal horror at its finest.
