This film has become a slow burn for me. Is it worth watching? YES! Is it worth rewatching? I originally thought no but I can't stop thinking about it.
On the surface, I thought oh boy this is going to be a slow pace and that is true, there's some exciting parts but generally it's a simple linear plot. But there were three scenes that hit so hard and fast I couldn't breathe from laughing so hard at the obscenity.
It's been a few days and I'm still thinking about it. I'm appreciating the parts of Tim Robinson I see in myself; socially awkward decisions, jealousy, lone wolf with eagerness to find where I belong. But I kept trying to label the character as a stalker because of his strange reactions but now I realize it is narcissistic reactions. He thinks he's helping, he struggles to take responsibility, and when he does it is in the most cringeworthy way. It is exactly what you'd expect from a Tim Robinson character (unhinged cringe in the best sense).

I am shocked this is only 7.5/10. This is not my usual genre and I rarely write reviews but feel I need to say this was an adrenaline rush from beginning to end.
The characters and storyline was great. The costume design and set is out of this world. The makeup is great too.
The plot was interesting yet every five minutes you find yourself on the edge of your seat thinking "there's no way she will get out of this" The war boy scenes are always wild.
I would highly recommend this watch you won't be disappointed and great lead up for another great movie fury road. Just needed to stand up against the reviews saying it was bad. I really don't understand why.

Interesting to see they extreme rating swings. I think it's getting under rated considering what the genre is. It's exactly what you'd expect. A reality show about rich teenagers in the hamtpons. Is there drama? Hooooohhhhh yeah. Is there storyline? Not really. I do like how realistic everyone looks though.
And poor Ilan Hahahha he gives off major tool vibes but he does seem like a generally good person who just keeps getting hate from very over dramatic insecure guys and that makes for pretty good tv.
Give it a one episode view. I don't think the 1/2 star ratings are very fair. It's like they expected to be watching an Oscar nominated movie. Its not that and shouldn't be rated in comparison.
