So far, the film is beautiful, and the action and choreography are magnificent.
Lucas' directing is tight, and the cast are incredibly responsive. The acting is good, and the script holds up okay. There is a lot of politics throughout the first half, but much less than in Phantom Menace. And there is a great amount of drama balanced by fantastically choreographed fight and battle sequences to balance things out.
