  • great movie until the AWFUL ending...

Extremely well acted and directed movie up until the LUDICROUS ending. What an insulting thing to do to this story. The filmmakers left out a CRUCIAL piece of the story - the 'evidence' which leads to the military's 'involvement'. The fabricated hollywood thriller ending of this film almost makes me sick. The filmmakers should feel great SHAME in how they ended this film. It insults the memory of the children and their families who suffered their loss. Heartbreaking tale. It's obvious the boy wandered into the military shooting base and one of was either accidentally shot OR they saw something they shouldn't have and we killed because of it. ONE person shot their rifle that day and his identity has never been revealed. IMO THIS is the culprit and until they are revealed, a HUGE injustice was done here. Very sad - and even sadder the filmmakers chose to ignore this... I haven't seen a more cowardly film in my life. It was involving right up to the end. Shameful, cowardly was to end this story. It's maddening and saddening at the same time.

  • let down...total garbage

None of the style of GREAT music of the 2nd. I enjoyed T2 even though the over the top gore was a put off...Sienna was great and I actually liked the characters and story...this has nothing. No story, more nonsense gore, another AWFUL Chris Jericho performance lol, bad dialogue... I'm only halfway through and bord to death. We don't even get to see Sienna's hot body again (I mean those thighs!!!). There's nothing in this garbage fest. Leone can shoot a movie but he can't make one. I found nothing to enjoy in this - I wanted more lore and backstory - got none of that (maybe more's coming). Siskel & Ebert would have had a field day with all the child killing in this movie lol I found that to be really 'cheap heat' and not even effective just the product of a sick hack mind. Leone does some good practical effects work I'll give him that BUT I found it old hat by this entry. I also thought art dressed as santa really took something away from him. I mean picture Michael, Freddy or Jason dressed as santa for a whole movie and it has the same (non) effect, it's just silly. The mediocre acting of part 2 was passible because the actors made the most of what they had but in this one EVERYONE is lousy and unbelievable - don't even get me started on the podcasters lmao. Yeah sure. The only good thing I can say is that at least this one looked like a REAL movie - too bad it wasn't a good one.

  • Better than Resurrection & AVPR, on par with AVP.

This is a DECENT movie. Unfortunately NOTHING happens for the first 40 mins and none of the people this 40 mins is about are very likable or interesting. Once it kicks into gear - it's GOOD. I'd the ending was a little lackluster - almost the exactly same feeling as covenant's ending...a little meh. The nostalgia factor is the best thing this movie has going. The links to the greater universe are BRILLIANT...Aside from AVPR, ALL the films are worth watching when it's time for a re-watch and thankfully this will be included (although like every movie I will make my own cut with a few trims). It's not fantastic, and because the beg was SO dull and uninvolving the movie feels long, until the end when you wish there was more and there's no time left lol. Overall it's uneveness is it's biggest downfall. Not the best Alien movie - I still say it goes Alien 3 (PC(, Aliens (DC), Alien (DC), Prometheus, Covenant, AVP & Resurrection) not the worst (AVPR). If anything PREY deserved a theatrical run and THIS should have gone to hulu. I love don't breathe 1 & 2 but other than that I'm not really sold on alverez. I really thought this movie was gonna lead into Aliens but they went with a throwback instead - which was cool don\t get me wrong - and I hope we get Prometheus 3 even if it's on hulu, THEN they can do a sequel to this.
