I really loved this movie. I knew Arianna had a powerful voice but I wasn't aware of Cynthia's incredible talent. The sets are over-the-top creative, colorful and complex. The score is moving, different and unpredictable. So many broadway songs sound the same, and I find them boring. The acting is superior, Arianna is hysterical. So fun that Peter Dinklage is the voice of Dr. I'm looking forward to this November, for part 2. The cameos of Kristen Chenowith and Idina Menzel were a nice surprise. Costumes are so creative and colorful, they worked into the storylines beautifully. I'm looking forward to this November, for part 2.
I can't believe anyone in the production of this series approved this ridiculously absurd episode. Absolute garbage. I watched about 35 minutes of it, then deleted it. Terrible. I don't know how the cast got through it. They can eliminate this episode and it would never be missed!
So, I've read through quite a few reviews. This is a Christmas movie, not up for an Oscar, not in the theaters, just a Christmas TV movie. I'm a big fan of Christmas movies and I thought it checked all the boxes. Sweet love story, family traditions, festive, sentimental, and predictable. I watch Christmas movies to feel good and put a smile on my face. Barry Bostwick, Jennifer Coolidge, Kathy Najimy and Michael Urie are great in the starring roles. If all these things are what you like in a Christmas movie, you'll love this one.
