The first season explored more on the subjects of immortality, humanity and morality. It was groundbreaking

For the seasons 1-4 were groundbreakingly beautiful. 5-6 was still amazing, although not at the same level as the beginning.
7 was slow and boring, i thought it built up to an amazing finale.
8, i was wrong. Rushed, illogical and frustratingly disappointing.
And TLJ killed the trilogy, rendering TFA useless.
Pretty visuals, decent story hooks. But does not stand well on its own.
