This is such a beautifully written film. I recommend staying with it as the beginning can be a bit slow, but the reward when you're done watching is is worth it. This film is for everyone, from children and families to CF adults or older adults who love Christmas. It's sentimental and will definitely make you cry

I really love this show. It's dramatic, it's hopeful, provocative, and filled with warmth. Some of the side characters (like the terrible, cheating girlfriend) are a bit flat, but the main characters shine so well. If you're a fan of Downton Abbey's Penelope Wilton, My Mad Fat Diary's Sharon Rooney, or Waterloo Road's Angela Griffin, I would definitely recommend that you watch this show It's amazing the amount of chemistry the actresses have with each other. This show reminds me a little bit of the Full Monty in terms of sheer awkwardness and humor. If you want something to watch that doesn't make you think a whole lot, give it a go. Anyway, check it out and see if it's for you. I'm hoping for a second season!

I really wish that there were two rating meters: one for critics and one for the viewers. I find nowadays that the critics are in their own little world of artistic direction and have forgotten what the average audience member would enjoy. Don't let the rating (a grisly 5.7) deter you from watching this show. The use of satire and situational irony found in this show rivals that of 3rd Rock from the Sun, while producing something entirely different. I highly recommend watching this show if you can suspend your disbelief following the premise (a new jersey family moving to the suburbs populated by aliens) and just absorb the amazing talent all the actors possess.
