With astonishing consistency, Greenaway turns in another gruelling slog that amounts to a homework assignment by a precocious private school pupil who draws a crude member in the margin for 'street cred' among his more impressionable peers.
Michael Gambon illuminates as always, managing a fine and even somewhat nuanced turn for his Ubu Roi-alike gangster, but any shred of complexity is largely untapped and not enough to redeem this offal.
Environment & decor: Adequate Service: Enthusiastic but lacking refinement Food: Insipid, dry and overcooked Bill for two: Too much of your time Overall: Aimed at the strenuously trendy and affluent tourists, and it shows.
