I really don't get the guys who don't like the movie. Must be because they were not growing up in the 70ies or 80ies. We laughed our ass off watching the film. And still today the movie has some good laughs. Yes in comparison with today's movies without CGI and stupid sex jokes the younger ones don't understand this chaotic but somehow truthful to the medieval reality. Michael Palin is great as Dennis and even Terry Gilliam plays more than the usual. It just came out Remastered on Criterion and I really would recommend it to everyone.

Come on guys just 18 people reviewing this great funny movie ? This is a real great B Movie Gem from the 80ies. 1985 to be precise. The Actors are just the ones you expect... (not too bad) and the villains are sooooo bad :) you know what I mean. The movie is fun to watch and you always know what to expect... and that's why it is so funny. Great Dialogues and funny 80ie Action.You will have a great fun evening watching this mind numbing trash. Of course people with an artistic flavor please do NOT watch this stupid little flick. All others YEEEESSS :) Have fun

Hmmm I must say I love this movie. The Story of this Movie is well told. The Lovestory inside this Story is so nice. Steve Martin proved that he is not only a "jerk" but can play in funny romantic movies as well. Maybe it is I went to the film back in the early 90s with a "love" of myself but every time I see this movie with the Music of Enya I get chilles all over. If you grew up during this time you will love it and even after nearly 25 years !!! Yes ! Since the Movie came out in '91 we are nearly 25 years later .. I hope the studio will bring out this nice little gem with some Extras. One of you greatest Movie Steve Martin ... Also for the Director who did Bodyguard with Whitney and Costner afterwards. He really had it at this time .... If you don't know it and you are in the mid 40s now please see it you wont regret it.
