So I saw this was on Netflix and finally got around to watching it. Let me start by saying I was in my teens during the Cam/Drew/Lucy era. I know those were pretty silly, but that's what I loved about them. It was a fun, girlie fantasy version, and I loved those actresses together! And for me, this is what Charlie's Angels was (sorry to the lovers of the original show, never saw it)
The first scene with Kristen had me thinking: Wow she is actually doing pretty good, looking great! I can see her as an angel. But that was the highlight of the film and it fell flat on it's face after that for me. The characters were pretty boring, there was no fun backstory for each of them, there was no real friendship bond between them, the comedy was terrible. It was just them acting so "badass" all the time, but really nothing else.
The 2000's films never just relied on the mission objective or the ass kicking. There was always a bunch of stuff going on around that and they just had a super fun dynamic between them. All that is missing from this one my opinion.
3 stars for effort and Kristen's decent opening scene which was the only part I liked.

I mean, you know what to expect from a Christmas film, you know what to expect from a Lindsay Lohan film. So if you picked this film you made a pretty clear choice here. It might not be the best, more original or have super amazing acting. But I grew up watching Lindsay Lohan's stuff, and I'll always enjoy it for a casual viewing. Kinda glad to see her back on screen so much again, she has several new films on Netflix at the moment and she is looking happy and healthy. Like I said in the title, this film is like a cute Christmas version of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's Overboard. If you haven't seen that one yet, I recommend it!
