When I was younger, my father rented this for me. I didn't understand it then, but when I purchased this movie a few years ago, I truly appreciated it. For one, the acting is very well done, and nothing to complain about. The action is pretty good. My favorite is the scene where the main character has the sword in his two front teeth. The house is beautiful, and the area is a nice setting. This and Big Trouble in Little China (another childhood movie), are and will always be close to my heart. If you are in the mood for the Wolfman with a twist, I highly recommend this movie. You will get a lot of bang for your buck, instead of Prom Night or the remake of a nightmare on elm street.
I just watched this movie. For a Cartoon Original, it wasn't that bad. Actually, pretty well done. Scooby and the gang have to solve the mystery of a Lake Monster. It had some funny parts, mainly targeted for younger kids. I have always loved the original series from the 60's. I was pretty disappointed with the other Scooby Doo movies earlier in 2003. The other Cartoon Network one from 2009 was also good. The plot, although not original, still has refreshing parts. I really advise anyone who loved the series as a child. If you only liked the original series and would hat to watch this, then don't. I thought this was a good movie for a Saturday night.
Or any other good 80's horror films. When I saw the preview, I was already disappointed. For one, Robert Englund was not Freddie. I don't blame him, because he would be know as a disgrace. Hollywood use to have great movies, now all of the good movies are being remade for the audience today. Teenage kids who do not want to watch "stone age horror movies". I know this for a fact because I have asked around, and many people thought the remakes were the original, and when they saw the actual movie they hated it. These remakes are just full of pop culture crap that gives these movies a bad name. If you like these remakes, by all means watch it. If you are a person such as me who hates these remakes, watch the original. It is creepier, and will never let you down.
