It's a repeated story - we all know what's going to happen! But I still enjoyed it!
Amy Schumer's acting wasn't as crass as it normally is, quite toned down for her in my opinion. Will Forte (who i usually can't stand) plays a sweet love interest, who i couldn't help but root for. Damon Wayans Jr plays her selfish ex fabulously, his and Amy's interactions were funny.
I enjoyed the rude & dark humour moments throughout but understand it may not be to everyone's liking. Not sure I'd watch this again but as a one off it was light entertainment - the kind you can scroll your phone to and not pay much attention to.

You know how they say if you're writing a story, you need a beginning, a middle & an ending... well this has that at least... it doesn't have much binding them together though. Predictable as could be, but in a "what made you decide that?" way. The characters got where they needed to be but with no light bulb, epiphany moments. No one stood out as an exceptional character, not even the witty sidekick (I'm not even sure who that was meant to be) & not one storyline was evolved or felt complete, other than the obvious ending. It's like the writer couldn't pick one avenue so took them all, it was a messy viewing with no investment/connection to the characters at all.
Predictable, corny, cringey at times. Considering its a remake they didn't try very hard with the script, there weren't any surprises or anything to grip my eyes.
Celine was an unnecessary addition I think, and I love her music & the new songs in this film, but her influence wasn't necessary to progress the story.
Miras character was the focus and Priyanka acted great, but again nothing surprising or exceptional - just unfulfilled potential. Rob (Sam) was a bit dull and he didn't even seem good at his job, his character wasn't fully developed.
If I'd never seen the film I'd still know the story & my life wouldn't change from not viewing it.
