  • Fun cast, great production design

I haven't played the game the series is based on, so its fealty to game lore, I can't say. However, as a big fan of Walton Goggins, this was another fun time. Purnell was strikingly beautiful throughout, and each of the cast members were either dashing and lovely, or delightfully crude. The production design was first class, ironic, and easy on the eyes. Even the tragic dystopian wastelands. The gore is pretty intense, yet at the same time often hilariously executed. No pun intended.

The music supervisor should get a medal as period music throughout is truly some of the best of the era, often placed with ironic counterpoint to the action and yet at the same time at some level ghostly in its reminder that in this worldbuilding, culture were suddenly frozen as billions were extinguished...in the Fallout. Fun series.

  • Exactly what scifi is supposed to be

Visually stunning. The characters are compelling-some of the lines are the most profound and important I've ever seen in the genre, full stop. Reading some of the negative reviews, apparently that went over their heads-which is kind of troubling that such a well crafted delivery is missed.

  • Great to see it again!

Just saw it again on the big scree! What a joy. The special effects and Art Direction have held up very well, and the acting seemed genuine for that particular universe. DeForest Kelly and James Doohan, of course gone years now, were at their crotchety best! Seeing Dr. McCoy's gleaming eyes and warmth again-so great indeed. The audience broke into applause at the end, and there was more than one tear in their eyes. Some of the shots and set design could have been made last week-so it was actually a pleasant surprise at how strongly the film held up over time. Truly, if you get a chance to see it on the big screen again, it's well worth it. A Leonard Nimoy film, the messages of friendship, duty, self sacrifice, a sense of adventure, and good stewardship on the environment are still fresh and important.
