This is not a feel good movie or a happy ending one. This is raw, good storytelling, good pace, great acting.
Divines tells the story of a teenage girl who has dreams but takes all the wrong roads to reach her goals. And she takes along with her, on her bad-decisions trip, her best friend.
When you come from poverty and you only do bad, do you deserve a good ending ? Can you change your destiny or are you destined to a life of poverty and lies and crime?
Could not feel a once of pity for this girl who, from beginning to end, is unlikeable... even when a handsome dancer tries to soften her. She is too hard and damaged to be saved.

When the movie Oppenheimer came out in theatres, I wasn't in the slightest interested in seeing it. I wasn't even intrigued by it. Even when everyone was talking about it and about Barbie, calling them Barbenheimer, I was still more willing to see Barbie than this one.
Now, as it arrives on Netflix, I decided to give it a go and see what everybody raving about. Meh! Way too long, way too boring. There was probably one hour of interesting stuff in it. Too complicated, with the three timelines and the dozens of characters, all looking alike.

I watched this movie for who knows what reason! I never managed to get attached to any of the character or interested by the plot. There was no plot, no story. Nothing happens.
This movie is slow and depressing. Ray Romano's acting is boring and depressing. The mother Angela is boring and depressing. The kid Matthew, aka Sticks, is depressed and depressing. The only refreshing character is the new girlfriend. There's no comedy, no funny moment.
Oh and the fixation of the father about Rocky is annoying. He keeps quoting the film Rocky and it's gets old, like his wife said: that was 40 years ago!
