Male and female actors I'm shocked to discover haven't won awards for their works on specific titles. Rufus Sewell deserved an Emmy for his role as John Smith in the Man in the High Castle series. He blows my mind in every episode. He is capable of making the audience simultaneously feel terrorized by him and empathetic towards him. His range is so dynamic  that we forget we're watching an actor. His character is fully realized. I cannot fathom how he has been overlooked.

Jennifer Connelly, Christoph Waltz, Mahershala Ali, Eiza González, Rosa Salazar, Ed Skrein, and Keean Johnson in Alita: Battle Angel (2019)

These 10 brilliant actors are underrated due to their unarguably versatile talent; the way they get lost inside their characters and allow the viewer to be engulfed by the story and not the actor. Too many Hollywood icons - highly adored actors (both male & female) - tend to bring the same character from picture to picture while those who seem to put in the most work, get lost in the mix. Actors, such as Leonardo DiCaprio, who fit the bill for this list won't be mentioned because those actors are not "underrated". That being said - all five of these actors are on par with the likes of Leo, however many people may not even recognize some of these names, but they should. We all should.
