Pretty much every fellow gay I know told me this movie was terrible. And most reviews online did as well.
I had Bros on my watch list for quite awhile before I finally broke down and watched it and I was shocked I really liked it.
Yes it is cliché: LGBTQ museum, clubs, drugs, threesomes/foursomes, Provincetown, etc but at the heart it is just two gay men trying to find love in the middle of a strict gay world that often wants clones and clichés and you better have a perfect body.
The one negative is the fact that it is clearly a Billy Eichner ode to himself. He has most of the lines and often the other actors are just there to watch him perform. If that had been toned down it would have been a much better film, which shouldn't be a one-man show.

This is a wonderful movie with long breaks in dialog where you see scenes of a city, living breathing. It sometimes creates an oppressive atmosphere and others one of hope. The chemistry between two main characters is electrifying. I loved their laughs, their words and their looks.
The only thing that was a bit jarring were the transitions in time, but maybe that was on purpose. You are sucked into this movie and though you know you are in Barcelona, sometimes it feels like you are in a place beyond the stars.
