Woof - I think it's obvious if you're reading this that this movie is not good. In some sort of upside down world way I was beyond intrigued by such bad reviews. What starts out as bad in a comical way soon becomes utterly unwatchable.
None of the sequences or shots last more than mere seconds thereby never building any sort of substantial plot, characterizations, theme, atmosphere or any other critical elements of what one would typically call a movie.
The script is so bad that the actors never stood in chance in making it seem real. Ice Cube was looking at a screen the entire movie or more likely looking at a copy of the script seemingly for the first time.
The soundtrack was 50% the Teams ring tone leaving many of us wishing we were actually getting a work call to escape this pile of garbage.
Not sure how this movie got green lit but if the budget was beyond what they paid Ice Cube and Eva by more than $100 they failed.
Best part of this movie was the memes it made. Go check those out and skip the movie itself.

If you're going to set an entire film aboard a single spacecraft-void of interstellar spectacle or alien intrigue-it had better be grounded in realism. Stowaway, unfortunately stumbles right out of the airlock. From questionable biology and life support science to inconsistent EVA tethering and inexplicable aurora borealis-looking radiation, the film is riddled with scientific inaccuracies that are impossible to ignore, especially when there's nothing else to distract from them.
The movie flirts with weighty moral dilemmas, but they never land with real emotional impact, largely due to underdeveloped characters and a flat, predictable plot. The cast, though talented, is left adrift with a script that gives them little to work with.
Visually, Stowaway is as unremarkable as its narrative. The cinematography lacks the visual flair that could have at least offered some aesthetic redemption. In the end, it fails across the board-story, script, pacing, and emotional resonance.
Skip it. Watch Interstellar again instead for the tenth time.

Nothing spectacular by any means but definitely an enjoyable and light hearted watch.
Sandra Bullock's character, specifically, and the whole island scene reminded me of Anne Heche in Six Days, Seven Nights - though I found the sequences in that movie to be a bit more exciting and tense. None the less, there's some fun moments to be had.
I did appreciate that Channing Tatum's character was atypical from his usual role.
If you're up for a simple, fun, treasure hunting, island adventure and maybe even some background noise - give it a try. If you're looking for something with a strong plot and depth, maybe skip it.
