I was so late to this party and I remember this movie coming out but the title just did not do it for me for some reason. That and I'll be honest I think the advertisement just wasn't there and I really didn't know what it was about. I'm really not into anime and that's what I thought it was Until when they released it and one of the streaming services I watched it and I was blown away. I'm 38 years old and they had so many little Easter eggs are parts from when I was a kid growing up when it came to movies video games and just the overall plot was amazing. I would highly recommend watching this movie if you're into video games and just the overall VR experience. I heard they're making a number two which I really hope they're doing because I can't wait for that one to watch it in the big screen.
First of all, I'm a huge fan of the first installment. That said, I look at it as a first movie and then a follow-up, which will rarely be better.
But, some may find it better and be able to argue why they believe it's great. I think the first season was "better," but in a very different way. They concluded the season and had the show going in a different direction, which I can respect. I enjoyed seeing the show from a PI and not always law enforcement.
The struggles with not having the power of the badge behind you and the stress of solving crimes without a badge are interesting.
I'm sad to see the show's end, which is one of the best police shows.
