As a massive fan of the first one (and even bigger fan of I still know....) this really hurt to watch this.
It's like they made every effort of fan service, but completely missed the fans they were going for. It was all forced and awful.
If you look at it as a stand alone movie, it's just as bad. At first i thought the people were awful and unlikeable to make seeing them die more fun.. a lot of them didn't even die. And you realise it's just really bad writing.. it was just a really bad slasher movie all round.
The writing was awful, it was like when the original members agreed to be in this they just gave up with writing it, it'll sell itself its fine. Nothing made sense, the dialog was all over the place.
The ending was a joke, an actual joke made in the movie itself and a joke of how bad it was. And the last scene was just a weird desperate attempt to pitch another sequel, which will be just as pants.

I enjoyed this, but was more of a drama kinda movie than i thought it would be.
It tells the tale of a couple of days from different points of view, which is well done and i enjoyed it, while lacking the horror and shocks that i was expecting. They overlap really well and explain a lot of little things you saw from other peoples perspectives.
There is a lot of story that is not connected to the main story, which is why i'd class a lot of it under drama, but it's fine and at no point did i get bored watching.
The conclusion was ok, i love the idea, in some ways i think the idea was played out well and in others really badly, there is no twist or reveal, and actually left me with a lot of unanswered questions .
Regardless of the flaws, it's a different movie, and i love movies that, especially horror, that attempt something new and although all the ideas individually here have been done many times before, it does come together as something new and different, so i think worth a watch just for that.

I love horror movies, and this was like one in a way but kid friendly.
Watched with my 4 and 6 year old, and they both at times were a bit scared, more towards the end. But essentially its a really well made horror / comedy / action / adventure movie for all ages,
This reminded me of the 80s and things like the goonies, the way the kids talked and interacted was def a throwback to that, it was just really well done
both my kids enjoyed it, and i think the ending was great, the story came together and was a really good feel good movie.
