Particularly amusing is The Guardian, the lefty newspaper in the role of a beacon of truth. Note the movie is about power of special interests, but the producers tell us the very same journal that did everything in its power to overthrow the first POTUS in generations not indebted to special interests to be a the arbiter of objective truth. I haven't laughed so heartily in years!
The movie is derivative on all levels. The use of opera to enhance dramatic effect feels like we are stuck in the 90s. Endless steals from better movies. Primitive take on politics filled with cliches. No redeeming value. Watch cartoons from the 50s instead.
Nobody saves Leningrad in the movie as the whole action takes places during approach of German army. Other than that, it is hard to believe it was made in 2019 as it is lowly propaganda of the worst kind. Communist Soviet Union made much better and truthful war movies. Any redeeming value is lost due to obvious steals from Titanic. Avoid at all cost.
