Kids shows most often have no appeal for adults. This one does, though it might be over some kids' heads. Positive but realistic, fun and serious. Good stuff in my humble opinion.

Better to have a CGI monkey than those old monkey movies where the chimp is wearing a diaper or, between takes, probably crapping and angrily tossing it at the handlers. Not quite sure what else to add; it's a kid's show that is pretty decent I think, not sure why it irked the other reviewers. The mom isn't a great actor but the others are well cast. Worth a 2 or 3 season run, plenty of natural settings to explore and issues to tackle.

I liked that they threw in animal testing as a subject. Actually I thought the whole thing was quite good. Armisen and the Malamut brothers are good, funny guys.

Both the brothers are shlubs, but with heart. Mark is an idiot husband whose wife handles their lives while he messes around and gets his face ripped off by the monkey he adopts for her, that she doesn't want at all. I found his patting and measuring the wall for 'wainscotting' pretty damn funny.

Hank is a loser who bonds with the monkey who has learned to communicate over the years of testing. The chimp has learned to text, likes when they tested MDMA on him, but has trouble keeping his eyes in their sockets. Pretty good, edgy Fox-type humor. Hank learns he needs to treat himself better from the monkey. There, I think that didn't give too much away.

I look forward to the second episode. It's a good-natured show that surprisingly included something as touchy as the test monkey. Now to convince all these critical streaming show test monkeys.

This needs to be at a '10,' so you had better vote it up there. Vote how you feel, but also make sure you vote very high. I voted a 10 on this for how it made me feel about myself, life, the world, cultures, X-Men and my failed romantic relationships. The most attractive (Mind and bangin' body like Psylocke) woman I ever met was a girl in college who also watched X-Men as a kid. We never even got close to having a date, but I can still dream.
