I thoroughly enjoyed the first season of Weak Hero Class. It portrayed a realistic and grounded story about three teenage friends. It shows how they form a bond, and deal with problems. Interlaced is the main theme of the story: bullying. While the violence here is extreme, it is realistic, and shows real consequences.
By contrast, the second season is not at all realistic or believable. Instead, it is a fantasy world where high schoolers run a criminal enterprise over a vast area of Seoul. While the main theme of the story is still bullying, we do not ever see our group of friends form a bond and grow together. The fight scenes in this season makes the characters seem like super heroes/villains.
The tone between the season is also quite different. The first season was slow paced and gritty, while the second season feels rushed and cartoony.
If you liked the first season, you will not enjoy the second season. On the other hand, if season left you feeling bored, you may actually enjoy season two.

Although the technical aspect of each episode being one long scene is certainly a noteworthy achievement, what makes Adolescence great is the story and the acting. In fact, the story and acting is so gripping, that you sometimes forget that you're watching one uncut scene!
It was interesting to see the aftermath of a crime through the eyes of the perpetrator, and the impact it had on the people closest to him. By shifting the focus from the victim to the perpetrator we see another side of a tragedy, one that is not usually explored in such dramatic detail,
A truly gripping story with superb acting from everyone involved.

The series gets off to a good start. The first half of the series is quite interesting and intricately builds up the characters and story.
Unfortunately, in the latter half of the series, you are just constantly waiting for something, anything, to happen. A lot of time is wasted without the story progressing at all.
The ending also felt anticlimactic, and few of the questions you have regarding the timeline are ever answered, leaving a lack of closure.
The acting is just okay. Lee Jin-wook is good as the main, but the other actors could use a few more acting classes. The chemistry also comes and goes.
The only thing I really enjoyed was the soundtrack. The music and sound design works really well in the background.
