Chicago Med S2E23 "Love Hurts" delivers strong tension and emotional stakes, but Ava Bekker's "South African accent feels glaringly wrong. It is so cringingly distracting, seeing an American actress putting on a fake accent that is so bad. Despite solid performances, this error undercuts the episode's otherwise sharp finale.
Dumb thing said by one of the nurses, after a woman is found with cocain packets in her stomach:
"I would've done the same thing to save my daughter"
How dumb you must be to think that being a drug mule is the only way you can do to save your child.
Selling drugs that will kill someone else's kid is the most stupid and evil thing to do.
I can't believe the script writers put that in to make the nurse look caring and heroic.

I love this show. I love the actors and characters, and the drama in every episode.
But somebody thought that Dr Rhodes can speak Spanish. What he can do is memorizing the words and sentences, but the accent is sooooo bad, it hurts me (I am South American and speak Spanish). I usually mute my TV set when he is speaking Spanish! I like the actor and the character but just not his very, very bad Spanish accent. Please someone, make him stop 🙏🏼
