  • excellent movie

This is the exact same movie as "the doorman" right? just re-released at a different time etc. I am glad too see there are some positive reviews of this. Hollywood and the movie going consumers that drive the industry have created hoards of formulaic movies and no-talent actors like chris pratt,J-lo, etc. etc. and this thing kicks ass, this is what indie filmmaking is all about, im so sick of seeing no-talent big studio movies and also no-talent no-budget movies shot with a dslr and indie movies shot with reds and cinealtas, i mean it could be done, but im not seeing it very often, all i see is yucky looking "this era xl1s" style stuff and it sucks. This movie is so cool, has a lot of dimension to it, the lighting was awesome, the scenes...man i love this biotch, this was good. To me this an ultra cool movie and a cool lesson in fimmaking.

  • totally excellent

This was by far vin's greatest movie along with the original fast and furious. The best movie of all time as of date was "point break" in 91, this comes in close to second. Hollywood is business that incorporates much talent but money comes first, that's why you have ultra non talented actors like chris pratt or J-Lo and i guess that's why vin has made all these terrible editions of the fast and furious, etc. Most big studio movies are just projected formulas about what the mainstream audience wants etc. This was a big studio movie that was kickass and cool and the best thing vin has done, he should have done tons like this, just like patrick should have done tons like point break .

This is an extremely nice piece of work. It's all about the scenes, sequences,lighting....i mean the direction was excellent...i guess it all falls within the realm of cinematography but it starts with the writing. This thing had that certain something you'll never find in big studio formula movies that star guys like colin farrell, jason stathom, russel crowe, etc. etc. and you'll never find that certain something in anything with chris pratt.....he is the antithesis to that certain something (aka cool factor) that makes actors and movies cool and good, and is a prime example of the hollywood money machine that is not interested in talent. This was way up there in the movies with a major cool factor, point break being the epitome as of date. It's not about the size of the production/budget it's just a certain something that happens when talent is at work and allowed to create, it's in some major studio stuff and some no budget stuff, but very few in relation to most, and this had it going on for sure.
