'Mermaids' is a family drama with a stellar cast.
Everyone in the movie actually does a great job with their performances, especially the younger cast!
The atmosphere was also great, and the period drama nailed.
The story is also sweet, a coming of age drama with strong family vibes.
The pace was nice as well.

'Magpie Murders' is a mystery series that combines two murder cases in one.
The start of the series was kind of rockie and it wasn't engaging enough. But the second half was quite strong and the fictional murder was actually well crafted.
The performances were also great and everyone did an amazing job.

Korean Drama 'Nine Puzzle' is an investigative drama that centers around a serial killer and a complex criminal story.
The latter had many suspects, characters, and twists, and the ending was intense.
However, the investigation part was boring, and the main characters didn't flow well together. The leading lady, being all quirky and dark, didn't really fit her and was not handled well. The performances, however, were all great by every actor and actress in the cast.
So, overall, five out of ten.
