Watched a bunch of the reboot He-Man shows so I wouldn't consider myself a huge fan. Part 1 is pretty good, it combines elements of the animated Transformers movie (you know the one where someone dies) and elements of Conan. Go in with an open mind and give the first few episodes a chance since they're not long. Looking forward to Part 2.
I was really looking forward to this show, but it immediately opens with robots and magic in a feudal Japan world (no real explanation). The dubbing is really bad too.
I tried pushing through the first two episodes, but it's so cliche with tropes like the "outcast secretly powerful character saving little kid", "kid befriending outcast", "outcast alcoholic", fan service character designs, "chosen one" etc. That you've seen a million times. The script is all over the place and it just disappoints. There are some solid documentaries on the real Yasuke you can check out on YouTube.
Animation isn't the worst and the music is pretty good (trying to find positives).
Watcher beware.

Everything about this show is uneven from the animation(yes, they have the gross cgi that distracts you) to character development (and cringey fan service) and more. The noir and serious scenes aren't too bad, but the jokes and fight scenes can take you out. If you have nothing to watch, give the first few episodes a shot, but there are way better anime and cyberpunk shows out there.
