  • Incredible

The first word that comes to mind after watching The Betrayed is "Wow." I'll admit that I wasn't expecting much from this film, but I was more than pleasantly surprised by the end of this suspense-filled thriller. Amanda Gusack does an incredible job. Her script grabs you in a head-lock, while her direction repeatedly punches you right in the brain. I yelled "Hell Yes!" at least 7 times during this incredible movie.

Melissa George stars as Jamie Taylor, a young mother who mysteriously wakes up as a captive of a very dangerous crime syndicate. They want information about her husband, and they're using her son's safety to get it. Can Jamie unravel the clues about her husband's secret life before times runs out? Is there any way to assure her son's safety and her life? Is there anyone she can trust? The answers to these questions will shock you!

This kidnapping film will kidnap your heart, hold your brain hostage, and take your nerves for ransom. Melissa George does an incredible job as Mrs. Taylor. The gritty nature of this flick works perfectly with the dark script. In a film in which nothing is sure, there's one thing you can count on, and that's thrills. Watch this movie.

  • International Intrigue

Crikey! An unexpected intro leads you into a whirlwind of outback adventure. This over-the-top adventure takes you through an unforgettable experience in the down-under. Steve Irwin is at the top of his game in this thrilling quest around some of Australia's most dangerous territories. While Irwin's experience in the back country will enthrall you, his love and passion for wildlife will implore you. When it comes to loving nature and its inhabitants, no one compares to Steve Irwin. His and Terri's fervor for wildlife is undeniably present throughout the film. Picture this: a U.S. Military Intelligence Satellite disintegrates, and the only remnant – an over-sized black box that has unexpectedly landed within the jaws of the world's most feared reptile – a CROCODILE!! Expert crocodile hunter Steve Irwin is recruited to save said crocodile after an Australian cattle rancher has vowed to destroy it for the crimes it has committed upon her cattle. Meanwhile, U.S. officials have sent in an elite team of agents to collect the elusive black box. Will the poachers be able to save the lost evidence before Steve and Terri can save the Croc from inhumane treatment on behalf of the U.S. Government? Only time (and of course a few harrowing adventures through the outback) will tell! If you love snakes, government conspiracy, tarantulas, and international intrigue, then you will love this movie. Steve and Terri are in their element, bringing passion, education, and excitement to the big screen. Brilliant storytelling really brings this tale of danger and bravery together. This movie is so full of excitement; it'll make Jack Hanna quiver in his boots.

  • The Doctor Will See You Now

Make sure you finish your popcorn early when viewing Hannibal for the first time. While most of this film is based on suspense, there is certainly plenty of gruesome horror by the end. Anthony Hopkins revisits his infamous role of Hannibal Lector in this disturbing sequel to Silence of the Lambs. Julianne Moore revises Jody Foster's character of Clarice Starling. There are also several other new friends to mEAT in this terrifying chapter of the Hannibal Lector tale.

Mason Verger (Gary Oldman) is out for revenge for the torture that Dr. Lector put him through many years ago, leaving him grotesquely disfigured. He may have found him with the help of the Italian detective Pazzi (Giancarlo Giannni). Meanwhile, Clarice is also searching for Hannibal after being embarrassed by the FBI for a botched mission. Who will get to him first? Or is it possibly Hannibal who truly has the upper hand? You'll have to watch to find out.

Brilliantly directed by Ridley Scott and excellent editing by Pietro Scalia, this film is truly terrifying in the most fun way. The story is engaging, as it is disturbing. You'll be telling everyone you know about it, especially the final scene that brings new meaning to the term "food for thought."
