Over the years I've gone through several lists on IMDb about beautiful actresses. I found that entries in most of these lists conflate beauty with acting talent or 'modelacious' physique. Acting talent is a necessary but not sufficient condition to define beauty and model-like physique is not even necessary. Just look at Winona Ryder or Imogen Poots or Soledad Villamil.

I've come up with this list giving due thought to all facets. It has female actors from Western cinemas - Hollywood, Europe and South American.  Chronological order is subjective - my personal preferences. Many of these actresses aren't active on screen now. But  when they were, they rocked the boat...

Most Beautiful Western Actresses (Past & Present)

Among all genres, I like comedy the most. In fact, I have a firm belief that comedy, action and thrillers are the only genre worth seeing.  Isn't there already enough stress in an average citizen's life that we need another serious & imperceptible drama to increase that tension? But when I endorse comedies, I'm also seriously allergic to shoddy, unintelligent, hit-and-run comedies and humour which explicitly appeals to lower senses. There have been instances in history when nations went to war when they shouldn't have. Either the result was a pyrrhic victory or they lost the war altogether.  On 16 October 2002, United States Senate passed the Joint Resolution to Authorize the use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq. 14 years later, with the benefit of hindsight, now we know that it was a mistake to plunge into that war.

As a native of Hindi heartland, I can attest to the fact that cinema plays strange role in people's lives - our lives. Inspiring, beguiling, amusing and entertaining, all at same time.  A lot of youngsters aspire to be 'film-stars' but perhaps a few truly understand the meaning of acting. Indian cinema doesn't attract talent proportionately to the money involved. In such popular culture its hard to rate actors especially when you've been copiously exposed to the likes of Leo Caprio and Tom Hanks. But following actors of Indian cinematic universe do stand out for their artistic panache and captivating on-screen presence. In my opinion, following are the best Indian actors of all-time.

Comedy is my favourite genre. Life is already too stressful to sit around and watch another load of depressing melodrama. I either watch comedies or thrillers to unwind myself.

Not all of the movies listed below are Hollywood productions, some are Irish, British and other European productions. A few are from down under.  The chronological order is subjective - my personal likings.
